RHNCA Board Descriptions

An effective Board of Directors works together as a unit in carrying out the duties, roles and responsibilities of the Association. Bylaws give the Board structure and a common respect for each other makes serving a rewarding experience. 

Chair: The role of RHNCA Chair is to preside over the Board.
• Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend all monthly meetings.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Willing and able to lead and delegate.
• Maintain awareness and see the whole picture or Ridgeview Hills North
• A cheerleader for the Board and it's goals.
• Work with the city of Centennial to advocate RHNCA's position through District 2 and CENCON meetings.
• Ensure the board stays on track
• Nurture the board members in the area of expertise.

Vice Chair:
• Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Attend all monthly meetings.
• Will act in place of the Chair in the event of his/her absence, or inability to act.
• Assist the Chair in representing the community and the Board.
 
Secretary:
• Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend all monthly meetings.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Take detailed notes at each meeting and distribute those as the "minutes" for approval to the Board within two weeks.
• Maintain all files for the Board.
• Track and organize data provided in surveys, communications and from events.
• Maintain Google Docs account with information provided to the Board.
 
Treasurer: 
• Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Attend all monthly meetings.
• Maintain contact with our bookkeeper to provide updates at every meeting of our current budget.
• Provide all financial records to bookeeper.
• Track the proposed budget of the Board and assure the Board stays on track with expenses.
• Organize expense reimbursements and spending.
 
Event Manager:
• Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Attend all monthly meetings.
• Organize events.
• Organize Neighbors Helping Neighbors group.
• Manage volunteers.
 
Director of Communications (DoC): 
• Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Attend all monthly meetings.
• Track and oprganize all communications from the Board to the Community.
• Post on NextDoor.
• Post of Facebook.
• Put together the quarterly newsletter (with articles provided by board members).
• Create documents for release to the neighborhood.
 
Head of Zone Representatives:
Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Attend all monthly meetings
• Serve as Zone Representative for your area.
• Organize communications to Zone Representatives.
• Organize delivery of the quarterly newsletter.
 
District Representative (Rep) #1 - #9:
• Commit to 24 months of service.
• Attend as many events as possible.
• Attend all monthly meetings.
• Get to know your neighbors.
• Keep track of those in need in your Zone, report these to the Event Manager.
• Be a resource for neighbors in your Zone (information notebook provided for such incidents).
• Represent the needs and wants of your Zone to the Board.
